10 Ways to Know Happy Planning is Right for You

Hello, my beautiful brides! We are the creators of Happy Planning: Personalized Wedding Planning on Any Budget. We receive numerous inquiries from engaged ladies wondering if Happy Planning is right for them. So, today we are telling you our 10 Ways to Know Happy Planning is Right for You.

1. You don’t know where to start planning your wedding. Happy Planning is laid out step by step and personalized to keep you on track for your wedding date. You will watch one video a week (every other week closer to your wedding) and that video will come along with a checklist of items to complete. We keep track of the checklist for you and mark off what you’ve completed so you know when it is time to move to the next video.

2. You are on a budget. If you want to stretch your budget as far as possibel-then hire a wedding planner. There’s one problem with that-full wedding planning can cost you thousands of dollars. Happy Planning will give you even more information than a full wedding planner can on how to stretch your budget for $45 a month or $279 for the entire year. Yes, it’s a steal but I love you so let’s not make a big deal of it.

3. You get caught up in the details. When planning a wedding the small details can push you right over the edge and not to mention the budget. We tell you what actually matters and steer you far from what doesn’t. We are your trusted advisor and partner in this wedding planning extravaganza.

4. Your Mom or soon to be Mother-in-law are driving you a bit crazy. We have two whole videos for each to watch to get them back in-line or in-line in the first place. We discuss what they are to pay for, what their responsibilities are and when to show up (and shut up).

5. You want the wedding of the century. We provide design inspiration and jaw-dropping advice that will have guests talking about your wedding for years to come. Seriously.

6. You work full-time. Here’s the thing about Happy Planning-you can access it whenever you want! You’re not limited by business hours or meeting schedules. Watch is at one in the morning or bing watch five videos at once. It’s on your schedule and at your own pace.

7. You’ve never thought of using a wedding planner. The best thing you can do for yourself and your relationship with your fiancee during wedding planning is hiring a wedding planner. You will save thousands with Happy Planning and will more than likely be more wedding educated than those that hire a traditional wedding planner. Shhhh….

8. You want people to be amazed that you can do it all. You can’t plan your wedding like a pro that’s planned hundreds of weddings because we have secrets up our sleeves. But, the great news is you can know those secrets too and to the rest of the world we don’t even exist.

9. You spend hours reading your wedding planning book. Our videos are all 5 to 15 minutes long and will give you more information than you can search on Google. So, save your time for memories with your fiancee and spend 15 minutes a week with your awesome wedding planner.

10. You want to know all the options available. You want to know all the cool and unique ideas, best splurges, exactly how to please your guests, where you can save money and how to have the most personalized wedding possible. We cover each and everyone of these in a fun and exciting way.

Week of February 8th, Holler!

“How to Be a Wedding Guest that Doesn’t Suck” by Taryn Hillin

First off, any title that is bold enough to include “doesn’t suck” is an article I want to devour. Taryn reveals 12 steps to getting it right when it comes to attending a wedding. I personally felt overwhelmed to send this off to all the guests that annoy me throughout the wedding but I will withhold and passive aggressively hope they read this blog.

Kicking it off with a traditional “You Gotta RSVP” all the way to “Don’t Bring a Tinder Date” (which makes me smile ear to ear). Check out her article and feel free to send it to a friend to post on their Facebook wall in hopes that all of your wedding guests will read it because posting it on your would not be cool.

“Quirky Budget Friendly Wedding” by Wedding Chicks

I for one have never seen the word “quirky” used to describe a wedding so kudos to Wedding Chicks for the idea and then completely following through with some quirkiness. This wedding is genuine, chill and highlighted by what the groom and his guys wore. Yes, I just commented on the groom’s attire for the first time ever, it was that good (see main image).

“Why We Chose to Save Money by Having a Destination Wedding” by Gema Cartwright

This article is an ode to my sister who constantly is breaking my heart by saying she wants a “small beach wedding”. Yes, I am really her sister-I double-checked. In all seriousness though I get the wanderlust filled wedding of your closest friends and FAMILY (along with a killer MOH!) on the beach. This article gives you all the unique ways you can save big time on making this dream a reality by combining your wedding and honeymoon and cutting down on the guest list.

Modern Wedding Etiquette No. 10

Hello my beautiful brides! Today, we get to discuss our Modern Wedding Etiquette No. 10: Save the Date’s should be sent out six to seven months prior to the wedding. Yep, it’s true. You have to nail down the guest list, pick out invitations and get it together six to seven months before the wedding. Why?

Well, there are several reasons I will share with you.

Reason 1: To inform guests so they can put your date on their calendar. The point of having a wedding is making a commitment in front of friends and family so ensure they can actually attend.

Reason 2: You will receive better RSVP response since guests are prepared to attend your wedding.

Reason 3: The guest interaction will be much greater. They will check out your website, registry and take part in the excitement building up to your big wedding day.

Reason 4: You get to share your great engagement photos! I mean you and your adorable fiancee did take those pictures so slap them on the Save the Date’s and send them out.

Wedding Readings from Classic Literature

Incorporating wedding readings from classic literature from one of these books of classic love seems enchanting. I love the thought of reading Emily Bronte or Mark Twain to perfectly portray your feelings of love for each other. I had to throw in one of my favorite readings from my absolute favorite book: Love is EternalLove is Eternal is Irving Stone’s book about the lives and great love between Abraham Lincoln and his sweetheart, Mary Todd Lincoln.

5 Laid Back Bachelorette Party Ideas

1. Glamping: Glamorous camping, I can think of no other way to camp! Glamping means no putting up a tent, access to indoor plumbing, no sleeping bags and definitely no building your own fire.

Elegant Yurts on a California Ranch: Surrounded by 400 year old trees this ranch features yoga classes, bike tours, hiking routes, an abundance of art supplies and horseback riding.

Safari West: An African Safari experience in Santa Rosa. Situated on a 400 acre wildlife preserve, Safari West, has over 700 animals and you get to tour and sleep in the middle of it all. This one is definitely on my bucket list!

2. Wine Tasting Weekend: Is there anything better than your bridesmaids, a weekend together and lots of wine? Um.No.  You can plan your own tour by vineyard hopping. Select two to three vineyards, pack adorable picnic lunches and reserve a glamorous limo.

3. Slumber Party: Who doesn’t love a great sleep over with your best friends? Turn it into a fabulous night in with gourmet food, drinks, games and even a theme.

4. Spa Day: This looks like absolute heaven! A day or even a weekend (shh!) being rubbed, scrubbed, pampered and plucked. Yes! Customize robes for your girls and book a day or refreshing and champagne. Also, feel free to let me know when this is happening! I feel like I might just need to do some research.

5. Rent a Cottage: Enjoy a relaxing weekend surrounded by nature in a charming cottage. Make the weekend simple by asking each girl to bring her favorite snack, cocktail and one item of decor. Once you get arrive lay out a blanket, take your  shoes off and enjoy a weekend with your girls!
